Many moons ago I remember watching one my fave YouTube babes, Claire Marshall and she had spoke on using SK-II products and the results that she had received from them the SK-II products.
Many of the products that she has spoken on have worked really well for me and I achieve really great results with them. She is my beauty "spirit animal" if you will.

I may or may not have squealed when I checked my email and saw that this Vox Box was on it's way to me. It couldn't have came at a better time, My skin has been struggling severely with all sorts of random issues. I was really excited to try something different, as I have never used a Facial Treat Essence prior.  I was very please with the results of the Essence. The concept of utilizing Pitera is a lovely take on skincare. The thing I love the most is post application is the nice feeling of plumpness you skin gets this max moisture boost, and this lovely radiance lit from within glow. You just look healthy. I really enjoy that.

This, this is my jam! By far my savior among saviors, one use and it sorta felt like my skin had been resurected fom the dead. And the Essence is worth the price but will defintiely hurt your wallet for a minute. I love that you can get this on the fly as one time use for around $17 most places and it's an instant reminder to your face, that you do love it. I highly recommend this!

FTC I did receive this product free compliments of Influenster for testing purposes. These are my honest thoughts and opinions.

I was skimming the February issue of Allure and I came across the the Maybelline ColorMolton Duo advert, and was like, "Wow! Those are effing gorgeous!" So I ran out to nearest drugstore (Walgreens) and picked up a couple to give a go.
I purchased the one in the ad, 306 Rose Haze as well as 301 Taupe Craze. I have to say I'm not wildly impressed with the payoff. I absolutely can not achieve the same look as the ad with the same shade the look middle and not highly pigmented whatsoever on me the swatch decently but you have to really pack it on to even achieve a slight high gloss sheen. I've tried with primer without primer, it doesn't make one bit of difference. Which I was bummed I thought they were really onto something here. I've tried warming the product up applying with fingers as opposed to a brush different types of brushes. It's just not working out.

Have you tried it and have had success with this product, share your technique below.
Ever wonder what that little thing above my blogs header was? I am a proud Influenster Reviewer. It's a really great company who surveys you on what you consume or may consume as a consumer and uses that info to send you VoxBoxes to share your opinions on via social media. It's exciting fun and informative. It's a great way to learn about products and even try out new products. If it sounds like something you'd like to do, comment below and I'll refer you if your serious about it. :)

Bare in mind I am just a user, I am not paid to say good thinks I just like what they do and that's why I'm sharing this info. :)

It’s no secret that the struggle is real to attain well hydrated skin with the abrasive midwest chills constantly upon us.  It graces us with uncomfortable dry and tight sensation on our hands, face, body as well as feet. I for one am not a fan of the flaky skin look, it’s so not in… like ever.  To retreat from the cold weather your automatic go to is to cozy up next to the heater or hover over the heating vent until you feel warm, can actually dry your skin out as well.  Contrary to popular belief as good as it may feel taking those scolding hot showers is by no means a good thing for your skin it can actually end up drying your skin out as well super warm water can actually diminish your skins natural lipids and can cause lack of your body producing your natural moisture content. So remember just warm, not like fresh coffee warm, and in and out, try to avoid staying in for a long period of time.

So while I’m in there I use Olay Daily Moisture Quench Moisturizing Body Wash. The product claims that each bottle contains more than a jar of Olay moisturizers, and that it is a “soap-free” formula to leave the skin feeling breathable after just one use, after a week skin is to look smooth and beautiful. After 1 bottle your to have long-lasting moisture day after day.

I wouldn’t say these claims are out of left field by any means, I will say that you don’t feel like you have something on you or you feel overly tight like your natural oils have been stripped so I do feel as though it moisturizes and leaves your skin feeling “breathable”. And I do notice that I am more moisturized after continual and regular use. (I am sometimes bad and forget putting on lotion when I get out of the shower.)

So, give it a shot I pick mine up at Walgreens it retails for $5.99 and sometimes cheaper if your Balance Rewards member.

What do you use for a body wash to battle the winter woes of dry skin?

I dot know about you guys but I've been battling some serious dry skin this winter season. You should never take your pants off and it appears to be snowing dead skin bits on your floor. (I do speak from experience.

I set out to find something to exfoliate to use in conjunction with a rich moisturizer, my current body wash is Olay which is high in moisture content I typically am fine without lotion but my skin is thirsty right now. I went to my local Target and picked up this bad boy.

I was like oh wait you're telling me I can exfoliate and moisturize all at once, sold! This scent is divine as well, it's like a slightly sweet musky jasmine, very calming and soothing. You just massage it in-shower in a circular motion and wash away the grit and dead skin. I've been using it for about a week and I'm loving it, I'm definitely going to repurchase as I'm too lazy to make my own, which can be done easily with olive oil and brown sugar and scent with essential oils.

What are you currently using to combat winter skin?

I was very excited when I walked into Khol's and saw they started carrying some nice brands, such as The Balm, Pür Minerals, LORAC and even as a holiday exclusive they carried my favorite Real Techniques brushes through the holiday season.

The nearest Sephora is roughly an hour and a half away the nearest Ulta is an even longer jaunt, hence my excitement. In a smaller town such as mine, we have small door cosmetic counters translates into far less high end an prestige brands and smaller product placement.

What caught my eye was the LORAC items, I've heard amazing things from YouTuber's like Claire Marshall etc. But I've never had the opportunity to try out these "amazeballs" eyeshadows until now...

I didn't wanna splurge on the full palettes due to them being on the pricey side and I've never been exposed to them. If made the leap and placed the order or trekked out of town for them and felt the urge to purge & return... Buyers remorse on ordered cosmetics for a small town makeup junkie... girl the struggle is real, so real.

So I opted for the LORAC Pocket Pro, it features 3 eyeshadows.
Nude - Champagne Beige with a frosty satin metallic finish.
Pewter - Medium semi taupey dark brown with a warmed slighty golden undertone.
Espresso - Deep Dark Taupey Brown with a slightly ashy slate undertone.

Each eyeshadow is also featured in the fullsize LORAC ProPalette and is also 3x larger than in the actual pro palette.
These are very pigmented, velvety buttery baby smooth. And the palette is pretty sleek it's 4" by 1.5". They can be used wet or dry. You can use Espresso for your brows or wet as a liquid liner, Nude as a brow or cheek highlight or dab on your Cupid's bow for a fuller looking lip.

Sarah Hawkinson had mentioned in a video that these 3 shades are her "most used" shades in the full palette so she really likes this to-go palette.

Then the LORAC Pocket PRO 2 came into stock and I obviously bought that as well, same drill 3 shadows.
Buff - light yellow toned beige matte finish.
Rose - warmed metallic copper rosey gold.
Black - sooty medium dark black matte finish.

These palettes are great to get your feet wet with LORAC eyeshadows they can be purchased at Kohl's for $15 each. Or $5 if you utilize your Khol's cash. 😉

L-R Top: Buff, Rose, Black (PRO2)
Bottom: Nude, Pewter, Espresso (PRO)

What are your favorite fab finds recently?
